I spent a half hour in the Commons dinning hall. While sitting in the dinning hall I noticed many different things. I noticed many different groups of people eating lunch. There would be groups of all boys, groups of all girls, and then some with both. I noticed that it seems that college students spend more time with people whom we are around more often. For example I would see a table of all girls that probably lived on the same floor or a group of kids that were in the same class because I could see them working on their math homework. College students eat with and are friends with the people living in the same hall or in the same classes. In the dinning hall i also noticed different trends of how people would talk to their friends. The boys would be very loud and the girls seemed to be more quiet. Lastly, I noticed that depending on if you are sitting alone changes where you would sit. People that sit by themselves sat right by the window, kind of to the corner/side so they could watch people outside. If it was a large group they would be sitting at a long table facing each other. Observing people in the dinning hall was interesting and showed me a lot of trends about college students.
